Club News

SHORT MAT BOWLS

During the closed season the club is introducing Short Mat Bowls, which during the trial period gained an uptake of some 37 regular players so the committee decided to carry this forward.

The Short Mat season will be from Monday 5th October 2026 to Sunday 28th March 2027.

Roll ups will be as follows - Tuesday afternoons, Wednesday evenings and Friday evenings.

Times yet to be agreed.

Six friendlies with other clubs will be arranged, three at home and three away.

It has been agreed the club will not be joining any form of league in the coming 2026 / 2027 winter season, however this does not preclude consideration in future seasons.

SOCIAL EVENTS

The committee has agreed to a new sub group to address the arrangement of more social events, this sub group has only just been formed but when information on any events is forthcoming they will be published. Any suggestions for social events would be welcomed.
