2026 Battle of the sexes

Despite the very hot weather and the resulting detrimental effect it has had to many greens, with the on-going hard work of the Green Team a very enjoyable day was had by all for the Battle of the Sexes.

This is a game between the lady and the men members of the club, played in a light hearted way but with each determined to beat the other to gain the bragging rights for the year.

This game has been played over the last three years with the ladies attaining a 2 wins to the men's 1 win, so this year the men were determined to win, and they did (just?).

Light refreshments were enjoyed between the games which were split into 3 sessions of 7 ends, with rotation of rinks and teams at each change of session, and the scores for each session added to arrive at the final score for the day.

A great day in good company.
